Full Job Description

Our client, a well-established financial services organisation focused on business lending, are looking for a Lending Manager to join their team. You’ll be responsible for all lending activities, providing advice to the General Manager and Directors, and have proven relationship management.

The company’s product range includes working capital funding, business loans, property development loans, stock and leasing finance.

THE ROLE

  • Business development/relationship management
  • Credit analysis – Form part of the Credit Committee (dual sign off policy)
  • Administer all lending activities for all loan operations
  • Identify opportunities to improve and drive efficiency on existing processes
  • Manage financial models and use robust quantitative analysis to complete risk assessment
  • Develop subject matter expertise within the relevant regulatory environment
  • Prepare progress reporting and monitoring of all loans
  • Prepare/assess forecasts and business restructure plans for borrowers in distress
  • Determine and maintain all internal control on all loan processes
  • Manage all loan cycle process and determine efficient work plan to achieve all business objectives
  • Manage all interest rates and perform all quality interviews and analyse all financial reports

ABOUT YOU

  • You will need to be a self-starter with a proven ability to show initiative
  • Experienced in all aspects of the lending process in the banking/financial services sector
  • Knowledge of SME business advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • An understanding of the regulatory environment ie RBNZ, FMA, Trustee, AML
  • Willing to guide and provide specialist advice and leadership to the team
  • Tertiary qualified in Finance, Banking or Business
  • Highly proficient in Excel, ideally with working knowledge of finPower or similar CRM
