New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE) is New Zealand’s international economic development agency, partnering with entrepreneurial NZ companies to help them grow bigger, better, faster for the benefit of New Zealand. Throughout Covid19 events and the evolving environment, NZTE is at the forefront of helping facilitate investment into Kiwi companies to support their growth and drive domestic activity to global markets.
Our Investment team focus across early-stage and entrepreneurial start-up Companies providing investment readiness advisory services, plus originating Regional Greenfield opportunities and supporting NZ companies in attracting foreign direct investment.
Due to an international secondment, this a unique contract (12 months) opportunity for a Corporate Finance/PE or related Investment professional looking to join a growing environment in a strategic senior leadership role, with a challenging Deals and Advisory focus.
As part of the GM Investment’s Leadership team, the position plays a critical role across people management between the Domestic Investment and International Investment teams. The challenge will be to lead, manage and develop a highly engaged group of Investment/Corporate Finance professionals across Client Investment Readiness and Investment Attraction to further develop a world class value add investment service, including:
- Providing inspirational and empowering leadership
- Driving integrated stakeholder engagement and workflows
- Originating domestic deals of scale and quality and connecting to global investors
- Influencing and hosting investment events across the capital raising community
A high degree of commercial acumen and strategic agility is required to create unique relationships across the private and public sector, including domestic and international government and trade relationships. Strong technical capabilities to originate, progress and transact on deals will also be critical to the success of the role.
