Relationship Manager – Debt Restructuring

Our client is a highly successful commercial financial services group with global connectivity and a national footprint. Whilst they are growing  relationships with highly successful SME – Mid Market Commercial organisations, across a wide range of industry sectors, like most financial institutions, their asset management/credit restructuring team plays a key role to engage and manage business customers experiencing financial difficulties, and operating outside of covernants and/or with distressed debt, particularly due to current economic conditions.

This role is a senior relationship management position, where you’ll work closely with internal Commercial Relationship Managers and ultimately manage outcomes with their Customers who need assistance in this space. The culture is about working closely with customers to restructure facilities and open up solutions to ensure they can trade through to successful outcomes on the other side. For this reason, it’s both a positive and rewarding role, across a wide range and size of customers, with facilities anywhere between $2 – $20m.

Ideally some “bad bank” or debt restructuring background woudl be ideal, along with strong credit skills, but stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills are also very important, given this role is a solutions focussed position and will be managing front line customer relationships, plus building trust with the Relationship Management team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with commercial or business credit restructuring, or lending/credit/realationship management experience looking to join an company with a great brand, strong culture and ambitious growth plans.
