Head of Credit – NZ
Some credit leadership roles are about managing credit policy to align with approvals and risk control, but as part of the NZ senior leadership team, this role carries a strategic mandate to lead and enable a national lending and credit function and commercially engage with senior peers for productive outcomes across the business.
The organisation is highly successful and locally led, with an outstanding culture and team, but with the governance and resources of a global financial services business, and this role offers considerable scope to influence the NZ credit operation, strengthen internal/external relationships, streamline process, and evolve future strategy.
ABOUT YOU
You will be an established business, commercial, or corporate credit manager from a bank, non-bank lender, or finance company, and you’ll be comfortable assessing complex lending transactions from SME through to Corporate customers, interpreting portfolio risk, plus leading change and presenting recommendations to executive or governance forums.
We also seek a strong people mentor who can further develop an experienced credit team, influence process and functions and bring a commercial perspective to decision making, without compromising credit independence or standards.
