Investment Associate
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Analyst for an initial 6-month contract role, supporting a live and active investment pipeline, with potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role.
Opportunities to step into direct investment roles of this calibre in New Zealand are limited. This role offers the chance to work closely across active transactions and contribute to capital deployment, with exposure to both established investment strategies and evolving areas of investment activity.
This opportunity will particularly appeal to candidates based in NZ, or from offshore (UK or other major financial centres) looking to return home into a credible platform.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting execution of transactions across an active pipeline of opportunities
• Building and reviewing detailed financial models and valuation analysis
• Contributing to commercial, financial, and strategic due diligence
• Preparing high-quality investment papers and internal reporting
• Working closely with senior stakeholders and external advisors
We’re looking for:
• Experience within private equity, venture capital, infrastructure investing, investment banking, or portfolio management
• Strong financial modelling and valuation capability, with direct transaction
exposure ideal
• A clear understanding of deal dynamics and investment processes
• Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy in a hands-on role
• High-quality written and verbal communication skills
The focus is on delivering high-quality analysis to support investment decisions. There is flexibility around working arrangements, with an expectation of regular in-office presence.
